Patient Experiences
How breast implant removal is organised for international patients — from the first WhatsApp message to follow-up after you return home — described plainly, without testimonials or ratings.
What this page is: a description of the process, using only information already set out on this site. What it is not: this page does not show patient testimonials, star ratings or review counts. Every patient's history, anatomy and recovery are different. Individual results vary.
How the process works
- First message. You send your implant records, current photos (three angles) and a list of symptoms or concerns via WhatsApp — in English, German or French. A preliminary assessment is provided before you travel.
- Consultation and examination. In Istanbul, the consultation includes a physical examination, a review of your imaging (MRI if needed for rupture screening) and a discussion of your goals and concerns. No procedure is pushed; suitability is always confirmed by personal consultation and examination.
- Written plan and time to decide. The recommended technique (for example en-bloc or total capsulectomy, or explant with lift), its risks, the expected recovery and the planned pathology testing are set out in writing. Patients are encouraged to take time after the consultation before booking — deciding not to have surgery is a legitimate outcome of a consultation.
- Surgery and early recovery in Istanbul. Surgery and the first days of recovery take place in Istanbul. Whether you go home on the day of surgery or stay overnight for monitoring depends on the extent of the operation; follow-up visits take place before you fly home. The recovery timeline sets out each stage.
- Pathology and follow-up. Removed capsule tissue is sent for histopathological examination, and the pathology report is shared with you. Follow-up continues by WhatsApp after you return home and can be coordinated with your home physician.
